Founder and Owner 0f Pawsome Tug Toys & Training is Angela Hedge.

Angela has loved and owned dogs all her life, starting with her dachshund “Snoopy” as a child, then her first border collie “Cassie” as a young adult. Angela fell in love with the Border collie breed and currently owns and trains 4 borders in her Brisbane home.

 

Angela has more than 8 years in dog and behavioral training as a volunteer trainer at Metro Dog Obedience Club, where she trained and competed in ANKC (Australian National Kennel Council) obedience competitions and Rally Obedience trials with her Border collie boys and gaining their CD (Companion Dog) obedience titles, RN (Rally Novice) and RA (Rally Advanced) Rally Obedience titles. She is currently training her border collies for their RE (Rally Excellent) titles.

 

Angela is a qualified Registered Nurse and has been nursing for 35 yrs and works in North Brisbane.

In 2012 Angela began her dog training journey as an obedience trainer/instructor under the guidance of experienced obedience trainers with affiliations to Val Bonnies obedience school. She has been part of many obedience trials with this club and others and is a competent and experience in stewarding for these trials. Angela has many personal friends who are ANKC obedience and show judges, and has affiliations with many registered dog breeders.

Angela works with "Dogiology" doing behavioural modification and training which includes aggressive dog management, in home dog modification training, obedience lessons and reactive Dog obedience classes under the guidance of a Trained Bsci Animal behaviouralist.

Angela has amazing craft and sewing skills and started Pawsome Tug Toys to create unique, customised and beautiful collars, leads, tug toys and more for her own dogs as well as yours. Each item is made to your specifications and needs. No item is the same. Angela has many very loyal and dedicated clients who buy for quality and durability of her products.

Angela’s dream is to help any and every dog be a loving and loyal family member with behaviours that will make the dogs shine in their owners eyes. Angela has always had a natural affinity with dogs and has great communication, problem solving and organisational skills learned thought her nursing career in the public health service for the last 30 yrs.

Merging her dog products and her love of training has been a dream come true.
